Valentine Candy Airplane & Runway
Great DIY Valentine gift for the pilot of your heart. Many ways to make these, but I just used up some left over Christmas and previous candy bouquet goodies. This method is also not meant to be edible once completed, so if you want to make something to be dismantled and eaten, please opt for the Smarties and Lifesaver option noted in my blog post. I went a little "off the flight plan" by making a sparkly runway, aviator couple and pilot themed card to help present this gift to my husband. Recently revised & shortened. A "sweet" idea I saw on YouTube from Tyra Washington's channel, combining my 2 fav things...candy and soda. A versatile way to personalize a nifty treat for someone who enjoys certain candies and pop drinks. Great for holidays, Get Well gifts (as long as it's not dental surgery- giggles), birthdays, bridal and baby showers, door prizes, tablescape centerpieces, and any occasion where something sweet is needed. This one is for a co-worker's December birthday, so I made it a red and green holiday candy bouquet. Make it sparkly! -
Ice Cream Sundae Bouquet Using Dum Dums & Tootsie Roll Lollipops
Great gift for one person for all occasions, especially birthdays or get well gifts. Very cool to use a glass ice cream sundae dish which can easily be ordered online, purchased at Ebay or found at a Goodwill or other thrift store. Great vintage look. Any suckers you prefer, but this version has Dum-Dums lollipops and Tootsie Roll Pops as well as some marshmallow suckers for the 2nd version. DIY: How to Make a Neutral Wreathe for Fall Dollar Tree Haul and Pet Loss
Here's my first video in awhile since losing my sweet cat Punkin. I'm using neutral colors with pops of muted greens and oranges. I also show a respectful and temporary way to have your pet's cremation ashes in your family room until you make your final placement decision. Everything used in the wreathe came from my latest Dollar Tree haul, except for me vine wreathe and orange vase which were items that I've re-used in several decor projects. -

How to Make a Vine Wreathe Reusable for All Seasons
These were made using wreathe forms consisting of vine that I bought at Hobby Lobby, with one 40% off coupon. I got several sprigs of fall foliage on sale at Hobby Lobby as well as some flowers,ribbon, sparkly tulle and faux birdies at the Dollar Tree. This was a free-form design on both wreathes. I've never made any before, so I'm quite pleased with how well they turned out. None of the embellishments are permanent. So after I get a Christmas tree up, I can easily change out the look of both wreathes. I had lots of flowers left over and rather than take them back for refunds, I decided to sprinkle them throughout my house in vases as well as placing some in pots in my front and back yards. 2016 Lilly Pulitzer Lisa Jacobs Planner Review and DIY Paper Clips
FINALLY got my 2016 planner review and DIY paper clip tutorial completed. This is my first vlog on this topic and I must admit to being a stationery addict, so planner and planner supplies are favorites of mine. I missed Lilly's August agenda notifications, so I'm once again only using mine Jan-Dec and missing those first few academic year months, but it's all good. This year, in addition to a new Lilly planner, I also snagged a copy of Lisa Jacobs planner which is really more of a workbook for creative artisans and entrepreneurs looking to motivate and accelerate your craft business. Great tips in there so far and I am already putting some of those to good use as I re-vamp my handmade jewelry hobby into a full time biz. I've seen so many peeps making cute little paper clips for their planners and such. Since I make hairbows and also have a ton of ribbons and buttons, I decided to include a few options I made using glue and wire to attach lovely sparkles to the clips. Enjoy!
