Share your Amazon Wish List with Santa Monica this Christmas

Hello, Sparkle Squad. This year has been yet another horrendous year for so many of my friends and family. I think it’s time to go shopping, so let’s check out your Amazon Wish List! I’d like to end 2024 on a more sparkly note.

Share your Amazon Wish List with Me!

Santa Monica would love to spread the sparkles this holiday season and give 10 people a small $10 gift from their Amazon Wish List. I know this is a small dollar amount, but for many people looking for a little Christmas cheer after a Scrooged-up year, I hope this idea will make you smile. If you enjoy this Secret Santa gift-giving idea, I invite you to ask your loved ones to create and share their own Amazon Wish List with you. There are tons of great gift ideas at Amazon and other retailers where they make it very simple to create and share a public wish list link.

Secret Santa vs. Other Gift Exchange Games

There are silly style gift exchanges you can do such as a White Elephant or Yankee Swap. Those events make holiday gatherings a laugh riot or a riot, depending on how these games are played. Ask Rudolph how these sorts of Reindeer games can go. lol. For an equally fun yet more personalized gifting experience, Secret Santa offers up the recipients own wish list to participants. This provides Santa with better insight for selecting gifts to appreciate instead of giftees plans to retaliate. lol.

But how does Secret Santa work?

You might think all gift exchanges are Secret Santa events, but they are actually a more focused and thoughtful way to choose viable gifts for those you care about. So, how does Secret Santa work?

You’ll invite participants, draft simple rules for the exchange, choose whether to manually collect gift ideas or utilize free online resources, draw names and assign their Secret Santa, shop and wrap gifts, establish gifting day, arrange decorations and foods for in-person parties (include Zoom links for those virtually attending), and then enjoy opening gifts to solve the mystery by guessing each person’s Secret Santa!

Online Resources for Easy Secret Santa Gift Exchanges

There are several wish list options for Secret Santa style gift exchanges that make the process more efficient, but also manageable for larger groups at work, school, etc. Along with many apps for your phones, these below also offer free desktop versions.

What I enjoyed so much about Elfster was the integration of shopping sites that I already use like Amazon, Target, Etsy, etc. I can make my wish list items private or public. And once the gifter has selected my gift, they can purchase online and it will automatically ship to me, providing I’ve put my correct mailing address into my Elfster profile. Simple!

2024 Santa Monica’s Amazon Wish List Gift Rules

  1. Please create your own Amazon Wish List (be sure your Amazon shipping address is correctly updated before sharing your link with me via email).
  2. Share your wish list link with me by December 1, 2024 at noon EST.
  3. Once I review those Amazon Wish List links, I will select 10 Sparkle Squad pals (those who actively follow and engage with me at my Sparkle by Monica YouTube channel and my various other social platforms) to gift something $10 or less from their list options.
  4. By December 7, 2024, I’ll email those who have been selected once I choose their gift and finalize the purchase on Amazon.

I hope that 2025 brings more sparkly peace and happiness for everyone. Be kind to yourselves and others. You never know what a simple smile or small graces can achieve.
