Annie’s Kit Clubs January Garnet Project Share & 2022 Goals for my Handmade Jewelry Business

It’s been another snowy weekend here in Kentucky, y’all. I’ve been up late each night editing a block of videos for my YouTube channel, so at least my fingers have been keeping warm with all the typing. lol.

2022 Goals for my Handmade Jewelry Business

With the start of a new year comes my goal to thrive in my handmade jewelry business. Due to the move from Texas to Kentucky and the 2.5 years of chaotic remodeling projects delaying our unpacking process, I’ve been on a beading hiatus. Now that our crawlspace nightmare is over-ish, I’ve now been able to unpack my craft room supplies and set up my DreamBox cabinet so that I can get organized! Getting my beads in order has really helped to inspire me to try new ways to thrive in my jewelry business as I kick it off in my new state. I’ve begun reactivating that side of my business. I kept my digital graphics portion open this entire time, but now it’s time for the sparkles to come back full force!

Part of this goal includes participating in more networking opportunities with my fellow beaders. I just completed a fun beading project using January’s Garnet birthstone as part of a jewelry-making challenge collaboration with Pirate Pretties Jewelry. This necklace and earrings design actually comes in a kit that I received back in August from Annie’s Kit Clubs. I tweaked the design a little by replacing some of the hammered pendants with beautiful assembled Bronzite and Imperial Jasper heart stones from Pandahall Selected.

Be sure to check out my Sparkly Stones Series on YouTube for more information about your favorite birthstones. Another goal is to continue my series so that I can complete all 12 months by the end of this year.

While making the 40 bead links for the necklace, I was also thrilled to try out my 3-pliers set of the 1 Step Looper pliers that I purchased at Christmas. That tool really saved my poor wrists and is the reason I was able to fly through making all those simple loops. Can’t say enough good things about that invention! I purchased the 1.5mm, 2.25mm and 3.0mm sizes because I like to have things in sets and I work in various bead sizes. I do not regret my purchase.

Additional 2022 Goals for Sparkle by Monica

In addition to reactivating my jewelry-making adventures, I’ve also committed to writing some of the book ideas that I’ve had on the backburner, and begin networking locally for classroom space to teach beading classes when I’m not working at my full time job. So, wish me luck! I’ve got a long list of sparkly goals and that’s not even talking about the usual ones like eating less carbs, cutting out sugar, walking and hydrating more. Always so many things happening. So little time, right?

What are some of your goals for 2022? I hope you realize your dreams and sparkle on!
